Fraser’s first novel, Crush, leads her into the realm of wine, romance, and mystery; her forth-coming novel, Royal Dispatch, tells the story of an IRA plot to assassinate young Queen Elizabeth.
Whether academic, dramatic, or fictional, all of Fraser’s literary production revolves around the ways in which we define ourselves in relation to influential and seductive power structures.
With a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature, Jennifer Margaret Fraser’s passion for the written word spans English, French and Italian and ranges from the classics to contemporary fiction. Her first book, Rite of Passage in the Narratives of Dante and Joyce, explored literary initiation whereby an author transformed from a reader to a writer of culture; her second book, Be a Good Soldier, investigated modernist novels and their engagement with children, grief, and war. Her trilogy of hard-hitting plays look at issues that concern youth.
Jennifer teaches English literature at Glenlyon Norfolk School (GNS).
