Jennifer Fraser was born and raised in Vancouver and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Honours French and Honours English at the University of British Columbia.
She attended graduate school in Toronto and completed a Master of Arts followed by a PhD at the University of Toronto in Comparative Literature with a specialization in French, English, and Italian literature. Her research focused on the writings of James Joyce, Dante Alighieri, Marcel Proust and Lautréamont.
After living in Toronto for 14 years, completing her studies and teaching for five years at Victoria College, University of Toronto, Jennifer relocated with her husband and two sons to Victoria, British Columbia where, in addition to her scholarly research in the writings of the modernist era, she writes in a variety of genres, including multiple works of fiction, film/television and drama.
Jennifer’s engagement with the written word infuses her scholarship as well as her fiction.
Jennifer teaches English literature at Glenlyon Norfolk School (GNS).
